AAUW WI Green Bay
The 2nd Annual Dreamers and Doers Events, sponsored by the Green Bay Area Branch of AAUW to celebrate Women’s History Month, will be held Friday, March 14 and Saturday March 15 at Heritage Hill State Park, Green Bay.
The Historical Tour is Friday, March 14th 1:00-4:30 pm and again Sat. March 15th 9:00 am –noon. Participants will meet five women from Brown County’s past who will tell about their lives and achievements. The Friday tour includes “Tea with Madam Tank” Each tour begins and ends at Heritage Hill; the cost is $20. The Award Luncheon will he held on March 15, 2008 at the Heritage Hill Education Center. The 2008 Dreamers and Doers Award will be presented by Erin Davisson, WFRV –TV5. All award nominees will be honored and added to the list of local women Dreamers and Doers who have changed life in Brown County. The luncheon speaker is Carol Smart of Waukesha who will portray her grandmother, Dr. Rosa Minoka Hill, long-time Oneida physician. The cost of the luncheon is $35. Deadline for all reservations is March 7. Call Jill at 920-592- 9987 or e-mail pwhinckley@earthlink.net All proceeds from these events go to AAUW fellowships and local scholarships for women attending colleges in the area.
