Program: Hmong Community in Southeast Asia. During the summer of 2005, Yer Yang and a group of Sheboygan area teachers visited the Hmong refugees in Thailand. Yer will relate her experiences and speak on the culture, economics and politics of this area. Hostesses: Sarah Stoll & Jean Grade

Program: Picturing Herself: Self Portraits by Women Artists. This illustrated talk by Lisa Vihos will highlight some important women artists of the past as well as a number of modern and contemporary artists. We’ll compare works of art that are naturalistic, allegorical, surreal, narrative, or conceptual. By examining a broad spectrum of images - from the personal to the political - we will uncover the stories of their makers, and pose various answers to the questions: What do women see when we look in the mirror? What do we see when we look at each other? How do others see us? Following the presentation, stay and enjoy the delicious offerings of soups and breads! Hostess: Donna Mae Ringel

Program: Dine and Donate. Join us for this exciting new community outreach program. Think about the cost of going out to dinner tonight but instead come and hear a presentation by Bonnie Wassell, Program Director for Bridgeway and Trisha’s House. We will learn about the important services these programs provide to women. We will be doing a variation on our usual potluck. We are asking members with a last name starting with A - M to bring an appetizer or salad; members with a last name starting with N - Z are asked to bring a dessert. All dishes should be brought to the First Congregational Church hall. Plates, utensils, and beverages will be provided. Hostesses: Martha Wortche & Martha Gedemer

Program: Spring Banquet and Announcement of Named Gift Honoree(s). For our last meeting of the year, we enjoy the beautiful lake view from the Sheboygan Yacht Club. Congratulate the Named Gift Honoree(s) and the new Branch officers. Bid on some delightful items during the popular Ways and Means silent auction. Mark your calendar now for this great end-of-the-year event.
